Position Description:
Are you a dynamic and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist eager to make a difference? The Wisconsin Institute for Neuroscience (WINS) at the Medical College of Wisconsin is looking for a full-time licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our innovative Building Resilience through Action in Veterans and First Responders (BRAVE) Program. In this role, you'll provide comprehensive cognitive-communication assessments and interventions to military veterans and first responders who have experienced mild to moderate traumatic brain injuries (TBI).

Your Role
- Conduct cognitive-communication assessments and interventions, addressing speech, voice, and swallowing disorders as clinically indicated
- Provide direct evaluation and therapy within an interdisciplinary care team, working closely with physicians, behavioral health experts, and allied health providers
- Educate patients and families on treatment processes, cognitive strategies, and communication techniques to improve quality of life
- Develop customized treatment plans to help patients regain cognitive and communication function, promoting independence
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary team meetings, program development, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to research and education efforts in best practices for speech-language pathology in TBI care

Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical experience working with individuals with TBI
- Licensure: Wisconsin State Speech Pathology License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience: Working with active-duty military service members or veterans
- Expertise: High-cognitive functional therapy, auditory-related impairments, and interdisciplinary rehabilitation
