Housekeeping Supervisor- Full-Time Evenings

Key Details:
Schedule: 3 PM - 11:30 PM with rotating weekends.
Primary Responsibilities: Leading shifts, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring infection control.
Patient Care Required? No
Essential Responsibilities:
Clean and disinfect patient rooms, floors, offices, conference rooms, and common areas following infection prevention standards.
Perform high-level cleaning in specialized areas such as surgical suites, cath labs, sterile rooms, and clinical areas without direct supervision.
Act as a resource for environmental services team members and guide on department matters.
Offer input on department processes, training materials, and improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure hospital and patient needs are met efficiently.
Ensure proper PPE usage and compliance with infection control cleaning protocols, including hand hygiene standards.
Use hospital-approved cleaning chemicals, following dwell time requirements for disinfectants.
Handle various types of waste disposal including regular, recycling, hazardous, chemo, regulated medical, pharmaceutical, and radioactive waste.

Education
Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Environmental Sciences required

Licenses and Credentials
Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Pest Control Technician [Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources, Pesticide Program preferred

Experience
experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers 3-5 years required

- Collaborates with multiple disciplines to effectively and efficiently provide patient care and achieve the desired patient outcome.
- Applies critical thinking to assess, plan, and implement day-to-day operations, and communicates updates to team members knowledge of health and sanitation standards, physical stamina, ability to operate heavy machines, familiarity with industrial cleaners and chemicals and the willpower to work with diverse population effectively.
