College COACH Summer Internship: Adolescent Medicine Receptionist Who we are Boston Children's Hospital (BCH) is currently ranked as the #1 children's hospital in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. It provides comprehensive and specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents and is a leader in pediatric research, contributing to significant advancements in medical science. BCH also offers a specialized programs and services, including cariology, neurology, oncology, and orthopedics. The hospital is affiliated with Harvard Medical School and plays a key role in training the future pediatric healthcare professionals. BCH's family-centered care emphasizes a holistic approach, providing extensive support services for families so they have comprehensive care and support through their medical journey. The opportunity The College COACH summer internship is a paid program running from Monday, June 9-Friday, August 8, 2025. In addition to on-the-job training and work experience, the program includes workshops and additional development programs. College students will work 35 hours/week. In the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine, our health care team provides medical, gynecological, nutritional, and psychological care and counseling. Our team is made up of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, mental health providers, and care coordinators - all of whom specialize in the care of teenagers and young adults. The clinic is outpatient and serves primary care, eating disorder, reproductive endocrinology, long-acting reversible contraception, complex care, chronic fatigue, nutrition, and other specialties. The location is across the street from the main hospital in Boston. There is an administrative floor of offices above the clinic floor of exam rooms and consult rooms. The intern would be often at the clinic's front desk and alternatively on the administrative floor at a desk for non-patient-facing work if applicable What you'll do The intern will be working primarily:
