Responsibilities The OHH Exercise Physiologist is under the general supervision of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Manager, collaborates with Cardiac Rehab clinicians to prescribe exercise according to ACE/AACVPR/ACSM. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values and OHH standards. Conducts sub maximal fitness assessments and prescribes individualized exercise program for all types of healthy as well as at risk adult clients. Must be knowledgeable with the ACSM/ACE guidelines. Re-evaluates, assists and encourages members to facilitate compliance with prescribe program. Maintains safe and organized facility to include identification and correction of potential injuries or problems. No supervisory responsibility. Provides expert knowledge for prescribing exercise to health and at risk adults and for wellness program. Must demonstrate initiative and responsibility for completing tasks. Direct contact includes Cardiac Rehab patients, and fitness center members. Handles confidential client records. Responsibilities are generally covered by standard practice instructions, operating directives or established procedures. Will perform all work with accord to the mission, vision and values of OHH. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in sports fitness or any exercise related program degree required. Master's Degree Preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current BLS certification required at the time of hire. Professional Certification Preferred. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of continuous experience in a telemetry or related cardiac type setting preferred. Every team member at OHH plays an integral role in our patients' experience.
