What you'll do:

The Treasury Manager (Treasury Data Management and Analytics) will be responsible for coordinating and structuring all relevant data for Corporate Treasury in support of Asset Liability Management ("ALM"), Liquidity management/Stress testing, ("LPST") and Capital Management/stress testing ("CPST") and other treasury data analytics needs as the WAL moves towards LFI. This includes defining an implementing a Treasury Data Mart framework, partnering with IT department, data governance, operations, Treasury and Finance managers to build a robust reporting and analysis environment for Corporate Treasury. This framework will align with the WAL's enterprise data warehouse initiative currently managed in the IT department.
  • Manage and structure the Treasury Data Mart in SQL Server/Azure environment to support the information required for ALM, LPST and CPST efforts. Partner with IT to all align data sources, key attributes, assumptions, relational data/hierarchies, and related aspects, from sourcing information to reporting and analysis for treasury managers, relevant committees, and external reporting.
  • Assist with the continued refinement and change management of Treasury's data needs to meet then bank's strategic direction, changing business and market environments, new business initiatives, regulatory and audit requirements. Position is key to supporting the evolving data needs for corporate treasury to assist with ALM, liquidity and capital management decisions.
  • Assist with the governance and documentation over all key information necessary to support corporate treasury data management needs particularly as it relates to LFI workstreams such as 2052a and CCAR.
  • Develop analytical infrastructure that provides insights to bank products, various key metrics, and how they affect bank's earnings, liquidity, and capital.
  • Coordinate with second line and third line of reviews to close and address any findings and observations relevant to treasury data management.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor of Science/Art in Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration, or Economics; 15+ years of previous related work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • MS/MA degree or MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of Banking and/or Financial Services experience
  • Previous experience directly supervising 1-5+ employees.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, business intelligence tools (Microsoft BI, Tableau), MS Office and Advanced Excel
  • 3+ years of experience in Treasury or Finance in U.S. regulated commercial banking, investment banking or consumer credit environment required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to speak, listen, see (with or without correction)
  • Ability to function in a typical office environment, engaging in activities such as writing, typing, walking, standing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to twenty-five pounds), carrying, reaching, kneeling. Ability to use a variety of computer related equipment.
  • Ability to read documents or instruments, engage in detailed work, problem solving, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal communication, written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, training others, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions
Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $170,395.00 - $210,488.33 for San Jose, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
