Position Overview:

The Contract Administrator at Caribou Coffee will work independently and cooperatively with the legal team to: manage intake of contracts, draft, review, and negotiate various contracts and support various business units through the contract management lifecycle, administer the legal department's matter management and contract management software systems (currently Legal Tracker and Tango), collaborate with various internal business units on legal issues/projects, and assist with other general in-house legal responsibilities.

This individual must work in a fast-paced professional environment utilizing communication, problem solving, decision making and analytical skills. The individual must be organized, detail oriented, and capable of functioning as part of a larger team.

Core Responsibilities

Contract Support: Vendor, Franchise and License

* Lead the contract management lifecycle and administer the contract management software system

* Review and draft various vendor agreements, amendments and renewals and assisting with electronic signatures and e-filing of completed agreements.

* Support corporate counsel with preparing new agreements, renewals, default letters, termination notices and other ancillary documents.

Real Estate Support

* Administer software system for lease administration including abstracting leases, maintaining lease files and providing reporting on critical dates, terms, etc.

* Prepare template lease and related agreements including reviewing and comparing document versions.

* Coordinate processes for new store opening and communication related to new leases.

* Act as liaison to field and support center staff in answering lease-related questions and inquiries including interacting with landlords and internal departments.

General Legal Team Collaboration

* Assist in engagement letters, billing guidelines and onboarding for outside counsel.

* Review, code and process bills from outside counsel in the matter management system; develop and implement reports for monitoring and reporting on outside legal spend.

* Furnish litigation support including file set-up and maintenance, document and fact gathering, review and preparation of discovery materials and coordination with outside counsel and internal departments.

* Assist with other general legal department functions including correspondence, collecting signatures, legal entity and business license management and trademark portfolio management.

Skills

Qualifications

Required:

* College degree, paralegal certificate or other post-secondary degree required.

* 5+ years' experience in Real Estate, Legal, Lease Management, Contract Administration, Franchise or related fields.

* Excellent computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access).

Compensation Range:

$64,946.00 - $108,243.00 per year

*Starting pay is subject to Local and State Minimum Wage regulations.

**Ranges reflect what employer reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for such position.

The physical demands for this position are reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical demands may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
