Specific focus is on defining structures of ion channels using cryo-electronmicroscopy methods, mechanisms of ion channel function, and ion channel modulator interactions. The candidates will be responsible for producing high quality mammalian ion channels for structural studies, reconstitution of target ion channels in lipid environments, and structure determination using single particle cryo-electronmicroscopy methods.
