Job Description
ECU Department of Student Involvement and Leadership is currently seeking several long-term student employees to work as Student Event Coordinators in the Events program for the East Carolina Heart Institute ( ECHI) . 15-20 hours.

The duties for the internship would include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Assist under the direction of the Events Coordinator at ECHI
  • Attend and work events including some nights and weekends
  • Help maintain an Outlook calendar of events and event details
  • Occasionally assist with setups of tables and chairs
  • Maintain campus-wide scheduling system, 25Live
  • Operate A/V capabilities of event rooms
  • Communicate with ECU parking and transportation on event parking, relay information to customers
  • Inform prospective customers of our facility-give tours
  • Advise the customer on caterers, parking, and other questions they may have
  • Keep files completed and update


Qualifications:

  • Must be reliable
  • Must have great verbal and written skills
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must work well with a team
  • Must represent ECHI in a professional manner including following the ECHI workplace dress code

Applicants should be prepared to work at the East Carolina Heart Institute.
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Applicants should be in good academic standing with East Carolina University, as well as local, state, and federal laws. Additionally, candidates must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.00.
