Sibley Memorial Hospital - Johns Hopkins Medicine, is a non-profit, full service 318 bed acute care community hospital located in the Palisades neighborhood of Washington, DC. Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopaedic, skilled nursing inpatient services, and a state-of-the-art 24-hour Emergency Department. What You Will Do As Nurse Residency Coordinator, you will participate in the planning, organizing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating activities associated with comprehensive hospital-wide nursing education. This includes general and specific programs including nursing orientation, in-service education and continuing education to all nursing staff. Provide specialized education in the areas of nurse onboarding. Responsible for the overall coordination and management of the new-to-practice nurse residency program, including collaboration with leadership, curriculum development and implementation with subject matter experts, and evaluation of resident progression. In addition to managing the nurse residency program, the professional development specialist is responsible for orientation of new nursing staff, providing professional development opportunities for hospital staff, and clinical placement coordination for baccalaureate, masters and doctoral nursing students. Salary Range: Minimum 47.93 per hour - Maximum 74.29 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
