POSITION SUMMARY: The Public Safety Communication Specialist (i.e. PSCS) will answer all incoming calls and radio transmissions and have central control over all the departmental databases and programs accessing that data, maintaining the accuracy of all database generated data. Monitor and respond to the intelligent CCTV alarm recognition system, monitor and respond to alarms generated from the card access, fire, HVAC, emergency phone and other facility-related systems in order to foster communication and aid in problem-solving. The SCS serves as the first point of contact for situations involving on and off-site facilities while allocating and directing assets, people and resources to help resolve incidents/events. Maintain accurate up to date file and logs and prepare reports as required.

Salary Range: Minimum 16.61 per hour - Maximum 26.57 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
