Research Technician (Park/Lerner Lab)
The labs of Drs. Jin Mo Park and Ethan Lerner in the Cutaneous Biology Research Center seek candidates for full-time research technician/technologist/scientist positions. These positions are based in the Charlestown Navy Yard campus of MGH (149 Thirteenth Street, Charlestown, MA 02129). The job titles and salaries will be commensurate with experience and knowledge/skill levels. Job Duties The Park/Lerner lab research is focused on skin inflammation, host-microbe interactions, and neuroimmune signaling. The research technician/technologist positions will support the two principal investigators' collaborative research projects. The research scientist positions will manage the research programs independently and report to the principal investigators; these duties include planning and performing experiments, analyzing results, and managing and training personnel. The research projects involve mouse skin disease models and the analysis of tissues and primary cells. Minimum Qualifications - A BA/BS degree with at least one year of paid lab and animal work experience (Technician/Technologist) or a doctorate degree with 3 or more years of experience in immunology and/or skin biology (Project Scientist) - Prior experience with molecular analysis (DNA, RNA, protein) Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience with the isolation and analysis of mouse skin, lymphoid organs, and/or nerves - Prior experience with tissue preparation and processing for histology, immunofluorescence, and/or flow cytometry Expectations - Integrity, transparency, and teamwork - Strong oral/written communication skills The General Hospital Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
