At Salesforce, we're seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as Area Vice President (AVP), Sales - Agentforce. This individual will possess a strong technical background with expertise in AI-driven solutions. In this role, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth while building a high-performing, motivated sales organization that fosters lasting client relationships and leverages cutting-edge technology to revolutionize customer engagement.

As the leader of our Agentforce Specialist Selling Team, you will shape the future of customer engagement and drive transformative results by empowering the team with the knowledge and capabilities of Agentforce while utilizing the full resources of the Salesforce organization.

We are seeking a visionary leader with expertise in advanced technical sales, along with in-depth knowledge of AI and cloud technologies. By collaborating closely with potential clients, you will thoroughly understand their needs and challenges, demonstrating how Agentforce can effectively address and solve their most critical business needs.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Define and communicate a clear vision for Agentforce that not only meets but exceeds target quotas.

  • Develop and implement an aggressive customer acquisition strategy aimed at achieving significant annual growth in AOV/ACV bookings.

  • Cultivate and maintain customer relationships while formulating strategies to enhance the company's focus on Agentforce and expand its customer base.

  • Plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.

  • Translate business objectives into specific, actionable goals for the relevant areas.

  • Build a high-performing sales team and implement effective sales management strategies, including hiring, coaching, development, and performance management.

  • Create a strong execution culture with a focus on nurturing strategic accounts, expanding existing relationships, and achieving high retention rates.

  • Direct the Agentforce Sales Team to successfully drive and close strategic and complex deals.

  • Effective prioritization:

    • Provide strategic guidance and focus for the Agentforce Sales Team.

    • Identify and capitalize on new opportunities within industry verticals to drive expansion.

    • Identify and manage new business channels, partnerships and routes to market.

    • Leverage internal and external C-level resources to present a cohesive and compelling vision for our customers.

    • Collaborate with various functions across the organization (Account Management, Marketing, Sales Strategy, Finance, Employee Success, Recruiting) to maximize resources for the Agentforce business.

  • Continue to grow and manage a team of high performers, fostering the next generation of talent at Salesforce and cultivating a well-rounded team.

The ideal leader will have:

  • 2nd or 3rd line leadership experience leading teams in strategic and/or industry sales (preferred).

  • 10+ years in software and/or applications sales (ideally an IT centric solution/application software, selling primarily to the CxO level (ideally CIO).

  • A proven track record in building, inspiring and motivating a complex, matrixed sales organization recognized for its culture, as well as its results.

  • C-level resources, aligned with regional executives, AEs, and internal leadership teams to present a single front internally and help represent a single vision for our customers.

  • Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals.

  • Strong operational and analytical skills, with a history of recruiting and retaining successful sales teams.

  • Ability to build loyal, referenceable customers and drive transformational change across organizations.

  • Dynamic and effective sales execution approach, thriving in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

  • Proven success in a highly matrixed organization, with strong relationship-building skills across all functions.

  • Exceptional technical selling skills to convey AI solutions to non-technical clients.

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $258,150 to $345,300. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $258,150 to $345,300. For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $258,150 to $345,300. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
