Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Technician Level 2 to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will provide advanced technical support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of desktop environments, software applications, and related hardware. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide second-level support for desktop hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, software applications, and security updates.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems.
  • Collaborate with Level 1 support technicians to escalate and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Document and track support requests, resolutions, and follow-up actions in the ticketing system.
  • Conduct regular system maintenance and performance monitoring.
  • Assist in the deployment and management of desktop and laptop images.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices and IT policies.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • 2-4 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote desktop tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) are a plus.
