JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Outreach is seeking a Proposal and Award Generalist - Post-Award (Professional Level) to play a vital role in supporting the mission of the organization. This positions primary focus will be on specialized invoicing for the Justice and Safety Institute (JASI) grants.

Responsibilities of this role will be inclusive of:

  • Run SIMBA GM reports to create unique specialized invoices requested by the sponsor.

  • Ensure invoice double checks are in place and distribute to the appropriate parties.

  • Communicate with the sponsor about invoices, budget and special requests.

  • Track specialized invoicing

  • Obtain expenditure data, run system-generated financial reports, and create legible budget reports for Principal Investigator (PI).

  • Ensure expenses are allowable, allocable, and reasonable.

  • Compare actuals versus budget and submit a budget mod if needed.

  • Prepare and submit salary distributions, salary redistributions, and wage transfers in SIMBA Labor Distribution

  • Ensure grant PO's are being captured and/or closed

  • Grant set-up functions; request new internal orders, budget upload, period of performance.

  • Ability to communicate utilizing clear, concise, and compelling language.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Additional Information:

  • This is a hybrid position that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to hybrid work arrangement should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

  • This is a limited-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.

Education and Experience:

Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's Degree. Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$46,400.00 - $67,300.00

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
