Position Summary

The overall function of this position is to prepare and serve regular & special diets to residents and staff under the supervision of the Dietary Manager. To supervise & manage food service operations including all food preparation, storage of foods, accountability of staff members and (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) meal services. The Dietary Supervisor will provide the highest nutrition and food quality to the patients, while complying with all federal, state and local regulations ensuring the dietary department is a sanitary and operational status. The Dietary Supervisor will assist the Dietary Manager with the day-to-day responsibilities, operation in the Dietary Department and function as the lead in the Dietary Managers absence.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Motivates and engages employees, driving and improving productivity and provides suggestions for increased production;
  • Maintains adequate inventory of food and supplies;
  • Supervises saff ensuring accurate conversions of recipes and systematic recipes are being followed;
  • Ensures the weekly cleaning schedule is followed;
  • Leads and assists with special events;
  • Supervises the Dietary department and functions in absence of the Dietary Director

Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or equivalency;
  • ServSafe
  • Two years supervisory experience in commercial kitchen, operation line cooking, and/or training, or equivalent of education and epxerience.
