Responsibilities

The Vines Hospital is currently recruiting for a PRN Yoga Instructor to join our team of dedicated behavioral health professionals.

Position Summary The Yoga Instructor leads group yoga classes for assigned patient groups. They will lead groups through various levels and types of yoga practice to enhance the spiritual wellness of assigned patient groups. The Yoga Instructor will also, Provide demonstration of techniques, verbal cues and hands-on direction to assist patients with proper poses, alternative poses, the most beneficial breathing patterns, and tips for achieving spiritual wellness, Account for the health and age of the patients and teach them accordingly, Maintain daily group progress notes and document patient progress, Maintain professional therapeutic boundaries with patients, Assure the patient's rights and confidentiality are protected, and acts to prevent, identify, and report abuse to staff immediately, Actively support the mission, philosophy & goals for the hospital, Communicate with sensitivity to growth, development, & cultural issues, and Adhere to facility philosophy, Code of Ethics, Standards of Conduct, Performance Improvement, and corresponding Policies and Procedures.

The Vines Hospital, located in Ocala, FL is a premier behavioral health facility offering individualized mental health and addiction treatment to adults in a secure and private setting. Our services for individuals include specialty programs for active-duty military and Veterans. Our services include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. We offer acute psychiatric, detox, and PTSD treatment.

We are located in picturesque Marion County, FL. The county is known as the Horse Capital of the World. Enjoy the outdoors at one of the county's serene parks, which includes wonderful hiking trails, river rafting, and tubing. Watch the county's wildlife and view the scenery by taking a horseback ride through one of the area's riding trails. Considered the heart of Florida, the beautiful region is centrally located within hours of many activities. Just a drive away from some of the state's amusement parks or beautiful Florida beaches. The county is less than two hours away from some of the state's large metropolitan areas. From young professionals to a growing family, the area has plenty of activities for every individual.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Yoga Therapy or Hatha Yoga Instruction Certification or Training through an accredited Yoga Training program Required.

One (1) year Yoga teaching experience required. Experience working in healthcare setting preferred.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Certification. Successful completion of Handle With Care training including appropriate use of seclusion and restraints within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in a restraining process.

Effective oral and written communication skills. Driving record must meet or exceed the facility standards.

Extensive sitting, standing, walking, reading, lifting over (50 lbs.) pounds and participation in active physical recreational program. Able to assist reading, lifting with the restraint of individuals weighing up to 250 pounds.

Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Clinical Services and Chief Executive Officer.
