Our services are diverse, from outpatient treatment to day support and residential programs, to workshops, in order to bring support to persons where they are and in ways that support their individual recovery.

Professional Development Trainer/Coordinator Schedule:

Monday-Friday: 9:00AM to 5:00PM (2 WFH Day) with observed holidays off per COMHAR policy: 1 Opening

Professional Development Trainer/Coordinator Salary:

  • Starting with $53k,
  • $54,500 w/ CPR or Mandt certified
  • $56,000 w/ both

Professional Development Trainer/Coordinator Summary:

The Training Trainer/Coordinator will report to the Professional Development Director and work closely with other members of the Human Resources team, Program directors/supervisors, and Quality Improvement to support and implement training and professional development initiatives.

Professional Development Trainer/Coordinator Duties/Responsibilities:

Support use of Relias LMS

  • Become a Relias Learning Management System "super-user" and serve as a Relias resource throughout the agency
  • Monitor and maintain User database, roles, Hierarchy, and HRIS data feed
  • Provide manual adjustments as needed
  • Support staff users of the system
  • Assist Learners and Supervisors with Relias functions
  • Provide training/consultation to Learners, Supervisors and Admins as needed
  • Construct and/or configure customized Relias modules for staff use
  • Enter training events and attendance data as needed
  • Assist Program Directors and other team leaders to access and report training data as needed

Coordinate and Host Orientation Program for new hires

  • Work with HR team to coordinate each Orientation roster
  • Ensure all stakeholders receive communications regarding Orientation schedule, roster, and related procedures
  • Host and manage the New Hire Orientation sessions bi-weekly
  • Welcome new hires and present various topics during Orientation
  • Support new hires to access and use the online training platform
  • Coordinate with other presenters to ensure all information is covered
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure "warm handoff" of new hires to work sites

Coordinate and Deliver training

  • Coordinate enrollment, communications, space and equipment logistics for training provided to COMHAR staff.
  • Learn and deliver training as needed, including training for which certification is required in order to be an instructor. Priority training topics include First Aid / CPR and De-escalation.

Miscellaneous

  • Assist in assessment of employees' training needs
  • Assist in vetting training resources for specific training needs and coordinating delivery of training
  • Support training events as needed, including A/V and logistical support, scheduling, communications, recording attendance
  • Support the development of internal trainers
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and methods
  • 3-5 years' experience in an HR and/or training team
  • Familiarity with Relias or other Learning Management Systems (especially as an Admin) is strongly preferred
  • Presentation / training / teaching experience
  • Fluency using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, video conferencing.
  • Qualities: Organizational skills, good communication, collaboration, problem-solving, customer service (internal customers), resourcefulness, flexibility/ability to pivot according to the need of the business
  • Certification in First Aid / CPR Instruction and Mandt De-escalation System required - strong preference to candidates who have one or more of these certifications prior to hire.
