DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Highway Foreman 2 with PennDOT Philadelphia, you will confidently lead a team of skilled workers in operating heavy construction equipment and utilizing hand tools for essential highway maintenance tasks. Your responsibilities will encompass repairing cracks and potholes, stabilizing and repairing shoulders, installing and cleaning drainage pipes, and installing guide rails. You will also oversee the sweeping of roadways, litter collection, roadway widening, and investigating and resolving complaints. Additionally, you will coordinate swift and effective emergency responses to snow and ice, storm damage, or vehicle accidents.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours may vary: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM; or 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM; Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Highway Foreman 1; or
- Two years of experience in the performance of lead work or skilled tradesman duties on a highway maintenance or construction project; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania Driver's License.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
