Any information not provided by Van Meter is inaccurate* Summary: The Project Coordinator Lead plays a crucial role in supporting our purpose of providing lasting value for those we serve by addressing tactical day-to-day issues and fostering team engagement of the project coordination team. The Project Coordinator position is responsible for the coordination and oversight of projects for the contractor business from the beginning through the completion of the project while serving as the liaison between our customers and vendors to ensure all details of the project are closely monitored. This person will manage their own group of projects as a Project Coordinator as well as serve as a lead to the team's day-to-day activities. This individual's behavior promotes our culture, our 5 P's and our purpose to create lasting value to those serve. Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of excellence, ownership, appreciation, leadership, engagement, and enjoyment on the team
- Using extensive experience (systems, processes, business, and products) provide guidance, direction, and leadership on day-to-day business issues within the team
- Lead team members in efforts to take on more responsibility, drive improvement and help grow business
- Assist team members with resolving complicated issues, while fostering team member growth with an eye towards overall company and customer impact
- Lead documenting of issues and possible improvement opportunities
- Identify opportunities for team improvements
- Lead technical resolution of system issues
- Lead training of existing and new team members
- Represent project coordination team in cross functional discussions
- Communicate concerns for team performance or process issues to team leader
- Manage oversight of projects to ensure all customer needs are met from quote, through order management, shipment, delivery, and invoicing
- Process and ensure accuracy on purchase order detail from customers to vendors
- Collaboratively drive relationship and discussions to maintain alignment on project issues for all parties including Sales, Finance, Operations, Suppliers and Customers
- Manage daily correspondences via phone & email ensuring timely communication with internal & external customers
- Balance workload and complexity that can vary greatly from day to day, while continuing to deliver excellence in service
- Think creatively and proactively to address challenges that arise daily within each unique project
- Communicate clearly when issues arise, and drive issues to solution using tact, understanding and a sense of urgency
- Interact directly with vendors to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods to appropriate locations
- Update all parties with project schedules, shipment details, job details and acknowledgements on a regular basis
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships
- Participate in cross functional efforts for continuous improvement and progress opportunities

- Familiar with a variety of the construction industry concepts, practices and procedures
Job Requirements/Specifications:
- Two- or four-year college degree preferred
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Previous experience in customer service excellence
- Three plus years' experience in the field (electrical/construction) or related area preferred
- Previous project coordination (or similar function) experience strongly preferred
- Ability to read construction/electrical drawings helpful
- Microsoft Office Excel, Acrobat Adobe and Word skills are essential
- Knowledge of Eclipse and Fuse software a plus
