Join our team at Regions Hospital as a Release of Information Specialist in our HIM Call Center. This position will triage all incoming release of information calls and/or requests and process releases for urgent requests for callers as well as fax requestors with 'patient here now' situations. Required Qualifications: One year of experience in a high-volume health care setting, health information management department, call center or customer service setting. Associate's degree in Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or related field may substitute for work experience. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree in Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or related field 3 years' experience in Health Information Department Certification: Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or RHIT eligible with credentials obtained within 1 year of hire Work schedule: Full time hours M-F, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, tele-commuting. This role is expected to maintain presence during normal business hours. This is a telecommuting position with initial training on site in St Louis Park.
