Summary

Market Analysis, Forecasting, and Hedging is responsible for stabilizing merchant revenues for NYPA as well as for customer portfolios using methods of financial hedging. A correlated function as part of hedging is forecasting revenues, hydro flows, and power generation using an Energy Commodity Risk Management (ECRM) tool. During the summer the team will be focused on testing a new ECRM tool that was just awarded the RFP. Our summer intern will be involved with monitoring and tracking test scripts across multiple departments who will be responsible in incorporating the new system as part of their day-to-day operations. The intern will work closely with members of our team as well as individuals in Risk Management, Finance, Treasury, and Energy Resource Management in accomplishing their tasks. Our paid 10-week Summer Developmental Internship program runs from June 3 - August 8, 2025. Education, Experience and Certifications
Enrollment in an associate's, undergraduate or graduate program at a college or university is required. Recent graduates are not eligible for our Developmental Internship program.
