What you'll do:
- Advises, coaches, and provides management with counsel regarding all HR issues such as the appropriate resolution of employee relations issues, leave of absences/FMLA, talent reviews, and succession planning. Consults with legal counsel and HR leadership as appropriate.
- Ensures legal compliance as it relates to all HR matters including but not limited to HOYA policy, wage & hour, EEOC, harassment, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, etc.
- Stays abreast of changes in HR regulations at the federal, state, and local levels, and communicates changes to applicable managers and employees.
- Manages the leaves of absences process including FMLA for R&D and ATC employees.
- Assist with the recruitment efforts for the R&D and ATC employees.
- Assists benefits administrator with the annual open enrollment process and answering benefit questions on an ongoing basis.
- Assists with HR training for employees consisting of in-person training meetings, conference calls, webinars, emails and/or writing HR newsletters.
- Consults with the management on policy questions and for applicable approvals and ensures that the HOYA SOP's and laws are being followed.
- Conducts stay and exit interviews and completes termination paperwork.
- Analyzes exit interview data and addresses issues with lab leadership team.
- Assist with comp planning for the team.
- Assist with Payroll processing for the R&D and ATC employees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field is required, and SPHR or PHR certification is strongly preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive human resources experience including strong employee relations experience. May include a combination of work experience and education.
- Business partner experience supporting a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet, HRIS, and time-keeping systems.
- Experience with the immigration process is strongly preferred.
- Experience with comp planning is strongly preferred
