Job Overview

We are looking for a team player that thrives in a dynamic setting and enjoys challenges. As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will be a key player of the Revenue Accounting Team. You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong commitment to process improvement. The ideal candidate will also have a strong technical accounting background with emphasis on ASC 605 and ASC 606. This role will be integral to performing monthly and quarterly tasks, deal package preparation, contract review and ad-hoc tasks as required. You will interact with cross- functional teams in the organization with an end - to - end view on revenue accounting.

Job Description and Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Review complex deals including agreement review, revenue allocations, and revenue conclusion in accordance with ASC606.

  • Research technical guidance and be able to apply judgement to complex transactions and guide the business on the revenue implications.

  • Prepare white paper to document complex revenue recognition related to contracts involving remix rights, and hybrid deals (License and Cloud software)

  • Perform month end and quarterly close procedures including reconciliation and preparing/posting revenue entries.

  • Prepare analysis as needed to ensure accuracy of revenue in our financial statements.

  • Liaison with outside consultants to review and discuss contracts and related revenue recognition on complex deal structure.

  • Continuously improve business processes, systems, and enhance documentation and controls as part of our SOX compliance efforts. This includes but is not limited to documenting and maintaining relevant policies and desktop operating procedures.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, such as Deal Desk and Sales Operations to provide revenue accounting guidance and confirm if we can operationally support business agreements.

  • Support annual audits performed by external auditors.

  • Complete special projects as needed.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent expedience, CPA a plus

  • 3-5 years of related accounting experience (Public Accounting Firm experience preferred)

  • Technical knowledge and practical knowledge of revenue recognition standards ASC 605 and ASC 606

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills skepticism.

  • Ability to recognize problems, gather data, draw valid conclusions, and effectively present information to managers, peers, and customers.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Tech-savvy, strong at Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, complex formulas)

  • Experience using Sales force, Intacct and Zuora is a plus

Relativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices.

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

$74,000 and $110,000

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
