Summary

Provides financial and statistical information to management, staff, and external customers in compliance with internal and external requirements by managing, monitoring, and accessing the organization's financial and other systems and analyzing and verifying the inputs and outputs to those systems. Interacts with all levels and disciplines of LVHN. Demonstrates high degree of flexibility, resourcefulness, and analytical skills. Performs work at the highest level of complexity and importance in the General Accounting area. Performs work with a high degree of independence and acts as a leader. Effectively uses project management skills to initiate, manage, and complete projects involving multi-disciplinary members.

Job Duties

  • Prepares advanced level Journal vouchers and other source inputs into the general ledger.
  • Manages assets (PPE) in a financially prudent fashion consistent with the Annual Budget or other plans.
  • Manages and completes specific regulatory, governmental, legal, and external reporting and filings.
  • Assists preparation of monthly financial statement package including financial statements, variance analysis, and statistical and ratio reporting.
  • Coordinates and completes budgets the annual operating budgets for areas as assigned.
  • Completes financial analysis and financial disclosures for use in strategic planning and decision making.
  • Assists in the annual external audit.
  • Operates and maintains the financial and statistical computer systems keeping the system current on organizational changes.
  • Ensures procedural documentation and polices are kept current.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance.
  • 5 years of experience as a senior accountant.
  • 3 years of experience In concentration, i.e. asset tracking, financial analysis, and project accounting.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other financial tools (such as NPV and amortization schedules).
  • Proficiency with MS Office Products and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in business administration.
  • CPA - Certified Public Accountant - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
