Position Summary

The purpose of an OPG OMW Subsea Supervisor is to learn and continue to develop leadership skills through supervising teams in offshore operations, as well as continuing to build technical and operational skills with a view to progress through the career framework levels.

As well as having good operational and technical base knowledge, they will further enhance their inter and intra personnal skills, and demonstrate their ability to manage and lead operational teams. On their assinged scope, they will be the shift/sole point of contact for all matters relating to the job, and communication both internal and external clients.

They will continue to develop positive relationships and overcoming rewarding challenges. Their focus will be on leading the team, developing the teams skills and continuing to develop their own knowledge.

Duties & Responsibilities

Functions

SAFETY

All employees are required to:

* Ensure that the safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to as far as is reasonably practicable to ensure a safe working environment.

* Promote a strong HSE culture at all times

* Participation in the company HSE Observation card, STOP and LSR Self Verification Programs.

* Use their SWA (Stop Work Authority) to stop a job they may feel is unsafe, in order to prevent an accident/incident occurring.

* Work and abide by our 6 life saving rules: energy isolation, working at heights, suspended loads, radiation, confined space and pressure testing, and practice the fatality prevention behaviours that are associated with each life saving rule.

TECHNICAL

* Supervise local Operations teams in delegating work for their assigned scopes

* Lead the usage of the asset and maintenance management systems to log; equipment maintenance, current asset locations, and equipment certifications.

* Participate in Project and Engineering meetings that are relevant with the scope assigned.

* Report job progress to the Superintendent/Operations Manager or Project Manager

* Delegate work to the team, and if required, assign Subsea/Senior Subsea Technicians to a day/night position.

* Work as point of contact for the team you are leading.

* Understand technical work instructions and engineering drawings, including general assembly, P&ID, Electrical and hydraulic schematics and assembly procedures.

* Disassemble, inspect, maintain, repair and reassemble all equipment. Troubleshoot, identify and replace defective parts and components.

* Supervise the operation of equipment within an assigned scope, safely, competently and to the highest quality standard

* Perform testing on all equipment, inclusive of function testing, factory acceptance testing and system integration testing.

* Load and unload equipment and work vans.

* Clean and remove dirt, grease, waste material and pressure wash equipment.

* Ensure that we operate in a clean work area and perform other routine duties associated with day to day operations and work area upkeep.

* Supervise and action the following; the Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives that are operated by Oceaneering, the reporting and closing of Non conformances and cost of poor quality (COPQ), and the Management of Change (MOC) process

* Assist with all technical data for jobs such as changes to drawings, schematics, OMMs etc. as required for job.

* Provide support on products and assists in maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning.

* Interface with client representatives where necessary

* Work as a positive and collaborative team supervisor, when working in team environments.

* Work independently on tasks with no supervision

* Maintain credentials and complete required training on-line in Oceaneering's chosen Learning Management System (Sum Total).

PERSONAL

* Be motivated to learn different aspect of Oceaneering's subsea products

* Supervise and mentor other Oceaneers within all departments on operations, training and personal development

* Completed training competencies as assigned to them, in order to grow their education and experience

ADDITIONAL

* Run morning Operations toolbox talks

* Participate in the review and close out of action items/gaps found in the above mentioned HSE programs (Observation cards, STOP and LSR Self Verification)

* Assist with any other duties as and when required; and

* Undertake specific projects as instructed by Supervisors/Management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

* This position has no formal direct reports, but will be required to supervise teams both onshore and offshore, as well as leading, mentoring and assisting Subsea and Senior Subsea Technicians.

DESIRED

* Experience in subsea tooling and equipment

* Experience in working on and maintaining customer equipment

* Willingness to work offshore and overseas for extended periods of time

* Knowledge of Word and Excel

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFSHORE WORK which is characterized as follows.

* Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water.

* Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.

* Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels and the light is intense/glare.

* Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.

* Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.

* Work surface is stable, height is elevated.

* Requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions.

* Requires working in cramped work spaces and getting into awkward positions.
