Manufacturing Machine Operator (Weekends)

We are currently hiring a Manufacturing Machine Operator (Weekends)

Hours: Weekends, 1^st shift, Friday to Monday from 6:00am to 4:30pm

Location: Hoya Vision, 7000 Sunwood Dr NW, Ramsey, MN 55303

Hourly Rate: $21 per hour (+ 15% shift differential)

What you'll do:

• Prepare and clean lenses to load into trays for processing.
• Ensure lenses are clean of dust and debris.
• Loading, sorting and prepping lenses for processing.
• Monitor machine status for the auto surfacing line that generates Rx prescription.
• Use or load specialized coating machines to add treatments to the surfaced lenses.
• Set up lenses into racks, feed, or load lenses into machine.
• Visual inspection of the lenses after processing.
• May include inserting completed lenses into frames.
• Perform multiple functions in department related to the processing of lenses.
• Maintain clean and organized workstation.
• Ability to work on computer-controlled equipment in some areas.
• As part of the lens process other areas include inventory/stock room/shipping/tray up/data entry/frame/lens storage.
• Be able to multi-task as required by workflow or department supervisor or manager.
• Use of material related to cleaning lenses and specific machine related chemicals. Safety training provided as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform duties as requested by supervisor/manager.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
