JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State College of Education at University Park is seeking a Recruitment and Student Engagement Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all prospective students

  • Conduct and coordinate visits to the College and informational meetings with prospective and admitted students and their families

  • Represent the College of Education at recruitment events both in-person and virtually

  • Participate in and coordinate panels, information sessions, and workshops to educate prospective applicants about the college and the admissions process

  • Develop and foster relationships with student organizations, The Advising and Certification Center, the Office of Education and Social Equity, and other college and university offices

  • Participate and contribute to diversity conferences, events, and the Summer College Opportunity Program in Education (S.C.O.P.E.)

  • Contribute to the college's social media efforts and develop communication plans for prospective and admitted students

  • May develop and manage a budget and supervise student workers

  • Will co-advise the College's special living option, Education House, and Education Student Council

  • Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned

This role reports to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate and Graduate Students. This is not a remote position and requires regular in-office work: some evenings and weekend hours are required.

This position typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus 6 years of related experience oran equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$56,200.00 - $81,500.00
