Pay Range USD $45,000.00 - USD $50,750.00 /Yr. Overview This position incorporates all aspects of the athletic training profession. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will work with the Head Athletic Trainer to provide coverage for 20 intercollegiate teams including Division I Hockey. General duties include but are not limited to, ensuring compliance with all NCAA, and HIPPA laws, prevention, care and rehabilitation for all student athletes. This is an eleven month renewable position. Responsibilities * Provide necessary practice and game coverage for athletic teams. This will require travel to numerous away venues and working on weekends and nights. * Evaluate injured athletes and determine appropriate care and rehabilitation required both in and out of season. * Provide appropriate referral assistance for student athletes in need of additional care both in and out of season in a timely manner * Provide health care information and advise and counsel athletes, parents and coaches on matters pertaining to the physical, psychological and emotional health and well-being of the competitive athlete * Provide visiting teams with adequate supplies and training room assistance. * Review medical and insurance forms to determine whether or not each student athlete meets the necessary criteria for participation. * Have ability to move outdoor supplies (water, ice, etc.) to game/practice venues. This includes lifting approx 50lbs. * All other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer Qualifications Education: Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 2 years collegiate experience, worked with DI hockey Preferred Experience: 2-4 years of collegiate athletic training, working with DI hockey.
