Job Description: Summary: The person in this position will work with project teams on civil engineering and related technical assignments. This position generally aligns with development of industrial sites and power delivery, with the option of branching into other sectors as needed. Work will include assisting engineers and clients with the development of wind and solar projects, preparation of construction documents, site evaluations, feasibility studies, road design, grading, stormwater design, preparation of technical reports, and other tasks. A hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office. This position is based out of Barr's Ann Arbor, Michigan, office. Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,000- $98,000 /year. This position is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Compensation will vary based upon relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance. NOTE: Applicants must be able to work in locations that feature rough terrain typical of construction sites and must be able to enter and work in facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities. Position will require lifting or moving field-testing equipment. Safety training will be provided before being given work assignments on these sites.
