Job Description
We are seeking an experienced environmental engineer, geologist, or scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience performing and/or managing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments as part of due diligence services and/or Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality's (LDEQ) Risk Evaluation/Corrective Action Program (RECAP).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and manage Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with ASTM standards and client-specific requirements.
  • Perform and oversee Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling, and analysis.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations for Phase I and Phase II ESAs.
  • Ensure compliance with LDEQ's RECAP guidelines and other relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate project completion.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Assist in the development of project proposals and cost estimates.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in performing and/or managing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • In-depth knowledge of LDEQ's RECAP guidelines and other relevant environmental regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Geologist, Professional Engineer) are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with environmental database management and GIS software.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and remediation techniques.
  • Project management experience.
