JOB TITLE: Sr. Service Associate - Shade Matcher

REPORTS TO: Dyeing Production Manager

PURPOSE: Associate will be responsible for reviewing shade on each set that is dyed and approve or disapprove sets before releasing them to finishing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Knowledge of all general plant safety rules & safety absolutes.

2) Operate equipment in a safe manner

3) Process 1st quality cloth

4) Meet production goals set-out by department manager

5) Follow proper policies and procedures set out by department and location

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

1) Ability to read and write and follow directions

2) Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions

3) Basic Math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

4) Ability to operate forklift and power tugger

5) Ability to learn how to use computer system (MES/SAP)

6) Good communication skills

7) Strong discipline

8) Ability to make adjustments to machine settings

9) Ability to recognize quality issues and make sound decisions based on tolerances

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

1) Basic written and communication skills

2) Must be able to hear power equipment operating in work area

3) Must be able to see clearly and pass pre-employment drug screening

4) Ability to work rotating shifts, ranging from 8,10, 12 hours

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:

1) Responsible scheduling machines, pulling DBRs, shade reading and dye cycle review.

2) Knowledge of plant/dye floor policies and procedures

3) Associate must be organized, focused, and capable of mutli-tasking/troubleshooting

4) Auditing safety items on dye floor/2nd floor.

5) Dye Floor/Dye Mixer experience Preferred.

6) Must pass the Shade Test

AUTHORIZED TRAINING TIME:

6 to 8 Weeks for 1st Certification in Job Classification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: FREQUENCY, AMOUNT, OR DESCRIPTION

1) Standing: Ability to stand when needed: 5% of day

2) Sitting: Ability to sit down for a meetings/computer: 40% of day

3) Moving: Ability to move throughout plant: 5% of day

4) Lifting: Ability to lift up to 25lbs: 15% of day

5) Climbing: Ability to walk up stairs, climb on ladders, climb forklifts, etc. 10% of day

6) Push/Pull/Reach: Ability to push/pull cabinet drawers, empty boxes, reach for documents 5% of day

7) Bending: Ability to pick up objects from the floor 5% of day

8) Walking: Ability to walk up and down washer ranges on hard concrete surface 35% of day

9) Visual Acuity: Ability to read documents, computer screens, and see defects 100% of day
