Responsibilities 1. Responsible for a variety of advanced repair, preventative maintenance tasks, and maintenance documentation on various equipment throughout Parkland Health System to ensure that all equipment is safe and operational. 2. Assists staff members on various advanced repair maintenance and preventative maintenance work orders throughout Parkland Health System to ensure that all mechanical equipment is safe and operational. 3. Performs various work requests to ensure that department/area customers facility issues and needs are addressed in a timely and quick manner. 4. Takes ownership of assigned tasks that effectively and positively represents the Facilities/Engineering Services department and ensures completion of work requests and ensures customer satisfaction. 5. Assists Parkland staff with use and repair of equipment. Serves as a resource person, while providing literature and information in order to assist other personnel with the repair and use of mechanical equipment and machinery. 6. Assists with new employee training as needed. 7. Develops material lists for jobs/work orders and submits requests for management approval, ensuring timely acquisition. 8. Maintains a positive working relationship with job related contacts, such as management, patients, employees, contractors, and vendors in order to improve overall departmental and area performance and to ensure that all job contacts are pleasant and productive. 9. Responsible for department projects as assigned. 10. Other duties as assigned.
