HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Senior Program Advisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of NISS's Diagnostic and Playbook deliverables. This position is focused on reviewing and refining these materials to maintain high standards of accuracy, logical soundness, and alignment with institutional needs. Collaborating closely with the NISS team of coaches, Senior Director and the Executive Director, this role will oversee the editorial integrity of program deliverables, ensuring they are actionable and impactful for partner institutions.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Conduct in-depth reviews of all Diagnostic and Playbook deliverables, ensuring logical coherence, consistency, and adherence to NISS standards. Provide editorial oversight to guarantee clarity and precision in recommendations.
  • Serve as the final reviewer of Diagnostic and Playbook content, ensuring it meets high standards for quality and alignment with institutional goals. Provide feedback to team members to enhance clarity, impact, and usability of deliverables.
  • Work closely with NISS coaches, Senior Director and the Executive Director, providing input on deliverable structure and content to ensure alignment with NISS internal standards and best practices. Act as an internal resource for refining content based on best practices in program delivery.
  • Ensure that all deliverables reflect NISS's commitment to data-driven, actionable insights that are relevant to each institution's unique context. Focus on perfecting language, logic, and presentation to provide a seamless and impactful experience for partner institutions.
  • Establish and maintain editorial standards and guidelines to ensure consistency across all Diagnostic and Playbook materials developed by multiple coaches.


Examples of Duties Include



  • Review Diagnostic and Playbook materials to ensure they are logically sound, consistent, and clear, providing actionable recommendations tailored to partner institutions.
  • Collaborate with consultants to refine content, offering detailed feedback on structure, clarity, and accuracy, ensuring high-quality outputs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of deliverables, verifying that all materials align with institutional needs and NISS's strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of internal editorial standards and guidelines, supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications :

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

Master's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

Experience in educational or consulting environments, ideally with a focus on content quality and consistency.

* An openness to leveraging AI tools for enhanced content and process efficiency (training

* provided).

* Demonstrated excellence in understanding evidence-based argumentation with a strong attention to detail and the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

A keen eye for evidence and logical consistency. Strict attention detail.

* Familiarity with data interpretation and analytical skills to ensure deliverables are rooted in sound logic.

* Strong writing skills

* Excellent communication skills, particularly in providing constructive feedback.

* Working knowledge of higher education setting, with an understanding of institutional processes, challenges, and priorities, particularly in relation to student success initiatives.
