Job Objective: This role is responsible for developing, delivering, and administering training programs that will improve employee skills, knowledge, and performance. A main focus will be training and certification of job skills for production associates within each job function. Essential Job Functions:
- Work with manufacturing leadership and Human Resources to create and commit to an annual training strategy; identify and build core curriculum requirements for all manufacturing employees.
- Develop broad base knowledge of manufacturing processes and facilitate training of associates in new positions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing leadership, Human Resources and manufacturing associates to develop training curriculum for each position in the facility, including classroom training, on the job training and computer-based learning; including any co-op programs with educational institutions.
- Partner with manufacturing leaders in the development of the job certification process, including proficieny testing and evaluation.
- Continual evaluation and improvement of training materials/checklists, processes, methods, modes of delivery to optimize training proficiency and effectiveness; monitor on-the-job training and verify training effectiveness with weekly training audits.
- Develop re-certification schedules and requirements for certified employees.
- Identify supplemental technical training opportunities (supplier resources, off-site classes, etc.).
- Support manufacturing leadership in developing and sustaining cross training strategy.
- Maintain training matrix, including certification and cross-training.
- Collaborate and partner with Manchester site Training Specialist to ensure consistency of training programs and processes.
- Provide training on Lean tools (i.e. Score Cards, SQDIPS board, 5S metrics, etc.).
- Weekly reporting to leadership on training activities, check lists and certifications.
- Assist manufacturing management in the development of visual aids in Standard Work Operating procedures, FMEAs, Control Plans, and SWIS development.
- Recommend/design tools that will help support increased productivity and overall job performance and engagement; develop training evalution tools to verify knowledge transfer and practical skills application.
- Act as a change agent by promoting a culture of safety, innovation, collaboration, and continual improvement.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Education, Communications, Business Management or HR.
- 5 years' minimum experience implementing training programs in a manufacturing work environment
- Previous experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment; certification preferred.
- Experience in Instructional Design, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with creating computer based training modules and working with an LMS
- Certification in Training is required.
- Proven ability to master the full training cycle.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills supporting a culture of success.
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision making, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Superior writing skills and ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
- Outstanding knowledge of learning theories and applying effective training methodologies.
- Experience in implementing Train the Trainer Programs.
- Familiarity with talent management and succession planning.
- Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI.
- Proficient with MS Suite applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and automated data collection software (i.e Activplant, Oracle, ADP & Everest).
- Learning Management system experience required.
- Passion for teaching and public speaking.
- This is an on-site position and requires flexibility to support a 3 shift operation.
- Travel between the Manchester and Somersworth, NH sites as required.
