Position Summary:
Join the Vallen Team as the Data and Analytics Analyst. In this role you will play an integral role in advancing the organization's data-driven decision-making capabilities. This position involves the development and optimization of analytics tools, reporting mechanisms, and automated workflows to enhance operational efficiencies and provide actionable insights across various functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Power BI Expertise: Develop and manage interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate key metrics and insights effectively.
  • Report Design: Create and troubleshoot operational and strategic reports using Microsoft Report Builder.
  • Process Automation: Leverage Power Automate to streamline workflows and enhance data integration processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Applications
  • Utilize Excel for advanced data analysis, including the creation of complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Develop professional, visually engaging presentations in PowerPoint to effectively convey data-driven insights.
  • Produce clear, comprehensive documentation and reports using Microsoft Word.
  • SQL Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support data extraction, transformation, and reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, define analytical needs, and ensure the delivery of accurate and reliable data solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain data quality, integrity, and security across organizational systems.
  • Identify and propose innovative solutions for improving processes and enhancing data utilization.
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience within the distribution or supply chain industry.
  • Familiarity with additional analytics or visualization tools such as Tableau or Python.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data services, including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
