Therapist / Counselor

RHD Bucks County Men's Halfway House in Fairless Hills is hiring for a Part-Time Counselor/Therapist. Flexible evening and a weekend day hours are required, 15 to 18 hours each week. Rate of pay is dependent on education (Bachelor or Master level) and certification and/or license.

Position Summary

The therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapies to adult men using evidence-based practices in addiction-substance use disorders, mental health diagnosis and other areas as required by program. Perform comprehensive biopsych-social assessment, treatment plans, individual and group counseling, coordinate with program support staff to identify and secure additional services and resources based on client needs.

Essential Duties and Functions

Counseling/Therapy

  • Provide individual, group and family therapies to people with substance abuse and mental health issues.

Caseload management

  • Maintain active caseload including engaging individuals in ongoing treatment.
  • Maintain tracking system for treatment plans, and other required documents to meet program funder guidelines and program goals.
  • Participate in clinical group meetings regarding ongoing treatment goals, progress and discharge as needed.

Administrative

  • Enter documentation into electronic medical records in accordance with agency guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a human service field.
  • Two years' experience providing direct counseling in the area of substance use and mental health.
  • Familiar with standard business computer software programs and electronic Health Care Database programs.
  • ACT 33/34 clearances if required by program
  • FBI clearance, as needed
