***This is an on-site role located in Arvada, CO***

Position Description

The Accounting Manager will plan, direct and monitor the daily and monthly accounting activities of the department.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of transactions in the system and general ledger accounts. Applies analytical review and explanations to ensure transactions are properly recorded

  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliation, including reconciling items on a timely basis to determine root cause and provide corrective action

  • Manages the daily & monthly functions AP & AR staff and assigns goals and projects

  • Assist with fixed asset accounting including monitoring Depreciation, CIP and CapEx spend

  • Assist with Intercompany reconciliations and cross-group coordination

  • Assist in expense statement audits and departmental spend reviews

  • Process improvement initiative by automating processes; eliminating duplications and rework; coordinating requirements from others

  • Maintains a thorough understanding of the month end close process, required reports, and journal entries to create

  • Assist in SOX and financial audits, both internal and external

  • Assist in Budget and Forecast planning

  • Other ad hoc tasks as assigned

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail oriented, self-starter, results oriented

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with high focus in Excel

  • ERP system experience (JDE, SAP, etc.) required

  • Prior management experience highly preferred

  • HFM/Oracle/Hyperion experience preferred

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of accounting experience required

  • Bachelor's in Accounting required

  • CPA or MBA preferred

Physical requirements

  • Ability to lift 15 pounds

  • Indoor environment. Sitting, standing, and walking are common

  • Reading, listening, and talking are common

Compensation Details

Annual Salary: $92,500.00 - $130,000.00

Additional Compensation

Salary Range for this position: $92,500k - $130k (the salary offered will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position).
