Adult Outpatient Co-occurring Clinician (Full Time)

Rate of pay $70,000-$80,000 yearly

Location: Woonsocket, RI

The Adult Outpatient Program is seeking to hire a Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional or an individual with a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling with extensive work in the field of addictions to provide individual counseling to adults struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Job Duties:

The clinicians will be expected to provide:Assessment, diagnosis, relapse prevention skills, psychoeducation and referrals to higher levels of care through use of Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatment modalities.

In addition to individual therapy, the counselor will also be responsible for:



  • Completing session notes within 48 hours of service.
  • Completing treatment plans every 6 months.
  • Providing crisis management and referring clients to various community resources that will further help them improve their quality of life.


Weekly individual and group supervision is offered. CCA also offers regular trainings, free of charge, that count towards CEUs.

We are looking for a candidate who has:



  • Previous experience or internship in mental health and/or addiction fields.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrates a sincere desire to help and support the individuals served.
  • Proficiency in the use of electronic health records and strong computer skills.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.


Education/Licensing Requirements:

A License in Chemical Dependency, Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a related human services discipline with extensive experience in the field of addictions. License eligible or independently licensed.
