As sales contracting becomes more complex, Mainline Information Systems is seeking a Contract Administrator to join Mainline's Sales Operations team. The ideal candidate will be a contracting professional who will provide transactional support to Mainline's Sales team and have close interaction with Mainline's Legal team.

The Position



  • Review sales proposals for contractual compliance, including flow-down language. Identify and leverage correct master agreements
  • Respond to requests for contract reviews from Mainline's commission-based Sales team and Sales Support team in a timely manner to reduce delays in the sales cycle
  • Assist with managing Mainline's portfolio of subscription-based offerings and coordinate with the Sales and Operations teams to avoid unexpected customer overages, expirations or billing delays
  • Understand usage and subscription-based sales models and identify potential risks, including options for risk mitigation
  • Other duties as assigned.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Experience reviewing and negotiating both buy-side and sell-side technology sales contracts (cost quotes, end user proposals and master purchase agreements)
  • Ability to understand unique cost quotes and sales contracts in detail, as well as ensure proper flow-down of contractual obligations through chains of contracting.
  • Familiarity with software licensing, recurring revenue offerings, as-a-service (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and usage-based offerings, as well as invoicing, pricing, termination rights and other terms and conditions associated with such offerings
  • Experience with government contracting is preferred
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to work well within a fast-paced, sales driven organization
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and act on individual initiative as well as coordinate among multiple teams both internal and external
  • Responsible, reliable, and punctual
  • Pleasant and professional demeanor: ability to interact directly with sales executives, customers, and partners
  • Basic clerical and computer skills



Education and/or Experience



  • 3-5+ years' experience in technology contracting and a bachelor's degree are preferred.
  • Experience in government contracting, subscription-based solutions and/or software licensing are preferred.
  • Demonstratable experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

  • Ability to travel. Various means of travel may be required, including auto and air travel. This position requires travel: Rarely
