Posting Summary
Rutgers University-Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking a Data Assessment Coordinator to assist with data management and technical assistance with accreditation data collection software-Watermark Student Learning and Licensure ( SLL). Reporting to Director of Teacher Preparation and Innovation in the Department of Urban Education, School of Arts and Sciences-Newark, this Data Assessment Coordinator (Coordinator) will use SLL to develop and maintain data collection systems and applications for SLL and edTPA, which the Department uses to monitor and assess student and course performance for program improvement, evaluation, and accreditation. The Coordinator will provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students to facilitate the robust use of SLL.

This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:

  • Thoroughly understanding of Watermark SLL.
  • Attending training and webinars/
  • Performing data entry.
  • Setting up courses, assessments, and rubrics.
  • Providing training and technical assistance.
  • Running reports and analyzes data.
  • Working to integrate SLL with Rutgers applications such as Canvas.
  • Organizing and streamlining accreditation-related data collection methods.

Work Arrangement
Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
FLSA Nonexempt
Position Salary $25.00 to $31.00 per hour
Payroll Designation PeopleSoft
Terms of Appointment Temporary Staff Appointment - Salaried 12 Month
Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Requires up to two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Watermark Student Learning and Licensure (SLL) software.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience with data entry, data management, and data management software.
Equipment Utilized
  • Knows or will learn any and all equipment, software, and specialized materials needed to support the effective and efficient performance of this position.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Requires prolonged sitting, typing, and viewing a computer screen.
