Job Description |
ECU Department of Water Resources Center is currently seeking an IoT and Environmental Sensing Assistant. The student must be enthusiastic to assist with testing, deploying and maintaining IoT and LoRaWAN technologies for environmental monitoring. This role offers hands-on experience in setting up environmental sensor networks, data management, and data visualization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sensor & Gateway Deployment: Assist in testing, calibrating, deploying, and maintaining sensors and gateways.
- Data & User Management: Help manage user access, and data storage solutions.
- Coding & Data Analysis: Assist with data processing, visualizations, and development of user dashboards.
- Documentation: Contribute to creating Standard Operating Procedures and guides for sensor deployment and calibration.

Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.) |
- Experience or coursework in IoT, environmental science, engineering, or related fields.
- Coding experience (e.g., Python,
MATLAB, R etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of or experience with electronics.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a research team. |
