WHO WE ARE: The National Multiple Sclerosis Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. To fulfill this mission, the Society funds cutting-edge research, drives change through advocacy, facilitates professional education, collaborates with MS organizations around the world, and provides programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward. We partner with volunteers to accomplish our work. Staff members engage volunteers through effective and timely communications, facilitating meaningful opportunities, and continually seeking and providing feedback for reciprocal growth and learning. As this role is community-based and requires frequent in-person meetings with local committees, volunteers, donors, staff, and other stakeholders, we need this person to be based in Rochester, Buffalo, or Albany and surrounding areas. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Development team as a Development Manager, Walk MS. The Development Manager, Walk MS is an ambassador for the National MS Society alwaysstriving to engage participants and volunteers with the mission. The Development Manager is responsible for the implementation of the local operational plan and will manage an event portfolio ofparticipantsand teams assigned markets in order to achieve fundraising goals and ensure a positive event experience.Strong relationship building skills, a positive, can-do attitude, and a commitment to working as a team are essential for success in this role. This position will collaborate closely with the local event production and volunteer engagement staff supporting events. Implement campaign strategies to retain, grow and recruit participants for assigned events

Compensation and Benefits Info: Estimatedhiringcompensation range for this role is $57,000 - $68,000 annually. Final offers will be based on candidategeographic location and consider career experienceandmay vary from this range due to theseand otherfactors.
