Job Description: Summary: Barr is seeking an environmental engineer to join its Minneapolis office and undertake challenging and progressive work on projects related to the investigation, evaluation, and remediation of contaminated sites. Work may include managing multidisciplinary teams; preparing technical work plans and reports; coordinating ASTM Phase I environmental site assessments, including in support of property transactions (e.g., acquisitions, divestitures); designing, implementing, and coordinating activities associated with Phase II investigations, including investigating contaminated soil, sediment, groundwater, and vapor intrusion; conducting remediation technology evaluations and feasibility studies; developing site management strategies, remedial design, and response action plans; and coordinating site remediation activities. Responsibilities will also include development of proposals, scopes of work, and budgets; communications, meetings, and negotiations with clients and regulatory agency personnel; and overall project management. Responsibilities may also involve mentoring staff, building client relationships, and business development. Minimum Qualifications:

A hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office. This position can be based out of Barr's Minneapolis, Duluth, or Hibbing, Minnesota, offices. Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 - 125,000/year. This position is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Compensation will vary based upon relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance. NOTE: Some work locations may feature rough terrain typical of construction sites and may also require entering and working in facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities.
